The Akagi was an aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), named after Mount Akagi in present-day Gunma Prefecture. It served the Japanese Navy from 1927 until it was scuttled to prevent her fall to enemy's hands.

Shinkai 6500 Submersible Papercraft
The Shinkai 6500 which was completed in 1990 is a manned research submersible that can dive up to a depth of 6,500 m. It is owned and run by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) and it is launched from the support vessel Yokosuka.
